Hwende has blasted Douglas Mwonzora for calling for GNU which he canvassed in the words “golden handshake” between Chamisa and Mnangagwa.
Mwonzora implored Chamisa and Mnangagwa to shake hands and work together just like Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga in Kenya so as to resolve the economic crisis.
Mwonzora has been blasted by many stakeholders for failing to uphold the party position.
Hwende argues that the current regime is toxic and aggresive towards the opposition therefore not fit for dialogue.
Writing on his twitter site, Hwende says How do you shake hands with someone indicting Party leaders for treason and arresting @mdczimbabwe for notifying the police about a peaceful demonstration? Our struggle for democracy requires leadership that does not waiver but is resolute and prepared to go to jail .
