On 29 November 2025, Emmanuel Devine Nyakudya, outgoing Secretary General of the Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU), announced the successful conclusion of the union’s 14th Biannual Congress.
Key outcomes:
– Peaceful leadership transition completed
– New National Executive Committee (NEC) elected
– New resolutions on students’ rights adopted
– Continuity of ZINASU’s advocacy for accessible education and campus freedoms affirmed
Nyakudya stated: “Proud to have led the successful transition… New leadership, New resolutions, same fight for students’ rights!”
The congress was attended by student leaders from across Zimbabwe and marked a smooth handover of responsibilities to the incoming Secretary General and NEC.
