E. D Mnangagwa was reportedly forced by his deputy, General Chiwenga to dump the 2030 term extension project announcing that Zimbabwe will continue to hold its elections in 2028.

It is said that this announcement was made during yesterday’s ZANU-PF Central Committee meeting in Harare.

Mnangagwa again spoke out against corruption after Chiwenga presented a document implicating Mnangagwa’s allies including Kuda Tagwirei, accusing him of looting billions through Sakunda.

Further reports indicate that following these developments, Mnangagwa offered to resign but later changed his mind.

The security service claims that dockets have already been prepared, awaiting only arrests.

This development has allegedly led to Mnangagwa cancelling his planned trip to the United Nations General Assembly.

Military leaders have reportedly written a letter to the political leadership complaining about the obscene levels of corruption dragging the country to the ground.
