Zimbabwean international Marvelous Nakamba has been officially listed in Luton Town’s EFL squad, putting an end to weeks of uncertainty over his future at the club.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who was linked with a possible move during the transfer window, will remain at Kenilworth Road at least until January. His return comes after missing the team’s early-season fixtures.
Head coach Matt Bloomfield confirmed that Nakamba is back in full training and could feature in Saturday’s League One clash against Plymouth Argyle.
“Marv has had some interest, like many of our players. We’ve discussed different scenarios, but he’s still here and ready to contribute,” Bloomfield said. “He just needs to come back safely from international duty, and we’ll have him available for the weekend.”
Nakamba’s availability is expected to boost Luton’s midfield options as they look to climb up the table in the coming weeks.
