Bulawayo Mayor, Senator David Coltart bemourns the level of corruption in Zimbabwe particularly in the courts.
Coltart said this while commenting on nine Chinese foreigners who were convicted of illegal possession of cocaine and only fined US$150 each.
He said this shows that there is nothing credible in Zimbabwe’s legal system.
Adding, Coltart said it’s the same system that put innocent people like Job Sikhala in jail for 500 days for exercising their constitutional rights of freedom of expression.
Commenting on the same Chinese issue, politician Jacob Ngarivhume said ZANU-PF is busy arresting citizens with cannabis but those with dangerous drugs like cocaine never spend a night in prison and are granted bail same day.
