Afro-fusion star Baba Harare has broken his silence following a wave of speculation over his faith and career choices. The artist, born Braveman Chizvino, issued a public statement clarifying that while he remains a devoted Christian, his professional focus will now be on Jiti music.

The clarification comes after his recent comments about the exploitation of gospel musicians were widely misinterpreted, with some suggesting he had abandoned Christianity. Baba Harare dismissed the claims, stressing that his faith is unwavering.

“I am a Christian, and that will never change,” he said. “But when it comes to my career, I will be singing Jiti music. I believe the two can co-exist.”

The “Prove Them Wrong” hitmaker emphasized that being a Jiti musician does not diminish his beliefs. Instead, he sees the genre as part of his artistic identity and a space he has helped shape.

In his message to fans, Baba Harare expressed gratitude for the support he has received during what he described as a “personal journey.” He reassured followers that he is back in the studio and fully focused on delivering more Jiti hits.

“As we embark on this new chapter together here’s to more success, more wins, and more music,” he said.
