Betty Jiri has been given the Founders Social Recognition award by the 2025 Zimbabwe Achievers Awards.
This is Betty Jiri’s first recognition in 73 years since she started a care initiative for black persons with disabilities at her home at 60 Q Square Mzilikazi Bulawayo.
She is a national icon and living national hero of all time as far as woman contribution to the social development of Zimbabwe is concerned.
