Temba Mliswa, the former Norton Member of Parliament, has been granted bail after spending two nights in police custody.
Mliswa was brought before a Karoi magistrate, who approved his release on a $300 US dollar.
Mliswa faces several allegations linked to his activities in the Rengwe Conservancy. Authorities accuse him of mining without the proper license, engaging in cyberbullying, and operating without securing an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
These charges highlight concerns over regulatory compliance at the site.
While out on bail, Mliswa is expected to respond to the charges as investigations continue.
