Rising musician Platinum Prince has accused fellow artist Master H of stealing the hit song Haudi Kudiwa, claiming he originally wrote it in October 2019.
Speaking during an interview with DJ Sparks, Platinum Prince said the song was co-written and kept aside before the Covid-19 lockdown disrupted recording plans.
“We wrote that song in 2019, we kept it, then came lockdown. Personally at that time I couldn’t record, I couldn’t do anything,” he said.
According to him, the track was later given to Master H, who added “some stuff,” with the two parties allegedly reaching a mutual agreement. However, tensions arose when Master H’s management later insisted the song did not align with the brand they were building.
Platinum Princ claims he was shocked when Master H went ahead and released the track, featuring Anika, without his involvement. He also says he presented evidence of his authorship during the radio interview.
