Botswana The UDC government in Botswana has dissolved the boards of five State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) as part of its restructuring efforts. The affected entities are:

  • Local Enterprise Authority (LEA)
  • Copyright and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA) The government is now in the process of developing a concept paper to select a suitable operational model with three private sector partners, with a decision expected by the end of the financial year.

South Africa The first National Convention for a National Dialogue is set to take place from August 15 to 17, 2025, at the ZK Matthews Hall at the University of South Africa (UNISA) in Pretoria. The convention is intended to be the launchpad for a countrywide, people-led dialogue process.
