A public contradiction has emerged at the highest levels of ZANU PF, highlighting possible internal discord over the status of controversial businessman Kuda Tagwirei within the party.

Just two weeks ago, ZANU PF spokesperson Chris Mutsvangwa categorically stated during a press conference that Tagwirei’s co-option into the party’s Central Committee “did not happen”, citing the businessman’s lack of position within ZANU PF’s structures.

However, in a statement made yesterday, the party’s Secretary for Legal Affairs, Patrick Chinamasa, directly contradicted Mutsvangwa’s position, asserting that Tagwirei will be confirmed as a Central Committee member at the next meeting.
