Zimfest Live 2025 was meant to be a celebration of Zimbabwean culture in the diaspora but it’s now trending for all the wrong reasons.

Event organizers have reportedly been slapped with a £3,000 cleanup bill after 15 piles of human faeces were found scattered across the venue grounds after the festival. Shockingly, organizers revealed that over 100 toilets were available on-site, with no queues reported throughout the event.

Entrepreneur and outspoken commentator Kuda Musasiwa chimed in with a cheeky post on X (formerly Twitter), writing  “You hate me for saying it so I won’t say it, BUT… Savages will be savages.”

The comment has sparked fierce online debate, with some calling for better crowd behavior at future events, while others say it reflects deeper issues of public hygiene education and respect for communal spaces.
