Sakunda Holdings CEO, Dr Kudakwashe Regimond Tagwirei, and his wife Sandra Tagwirei have donated US$23 million towards charitable causes in Zimbabwe, focusing on healthcare, education, and food aid through their Bridging Gaps Foundation.

The foundation has intensified its outreach in rural communities, where thousands have already benefited from free medical surgeries conducted at Arundel Hospital. Patients previously unable to afford treatment are now receiving critical care at no cost.

In addition to healthcare, the initiative is also funding education programs for disadvantaged students and distributing food hampers to families affected by poverty and drought.

Dr Tagwirei, a devout Christian, says his motivation is rooted in service to humanity.

The Bridging Gaps Foundation has become a key player in Zimbabwe’s social support sector, with its US$23 million investment marking one of the largest private philanthropic commitments in the country in recent memory.
