Political analyst and academic Dr. Chipo Dendere has sparked debate on social media after publicly defending former opposition leader Nelson Chamisa against mounting criticism.
In a pointed tweet, Dendere questioned why those who often write lengthy critiques of Chamisa have failed to rally behind a single strong alternative candidate.
“I fail to understand why everyone who writes bible-length criticism of Chamisa has failed to unite behind one incredible candidate and show us how it’s done properly,” she wrote.
Drawing a comparison between politics and entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe, she added,“Running for office & theorizing about it is like running a business in Zimbabwe. Reality will humble you.”
