Zimbabwean political activist Freeman Chari has joined the chorus of critics reacting to Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa’s controversial flat Earth claims.

In a tweet laced with humor and sarcasm, Chari compared Makandiwa to a former acquaintance known for wild, weed-fueled theories.

“Makandiwa reminds me of this dude who had so many weed-triggered theories… e.g. ‘If you run to the West at 3x the speed of light you would catch yesterday. At 100x the speed you would see your dead forefathers’… taitogutsurirawo musoro takadhumwa zvedu,” he said.

Makandiwa recently stirred public debate by stating the Earth is flat and dismissing gravity as “just mass” or “weight.” His remarks have triggered a wave of ridicule online, with many accusing him of misleading his large following.
