Marry Mubaiwa has hit back at claims made by her ex-husband, former Zimbabwe Warriors striker Shingi Kawondera, alleging she conspired with the late businessman Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure to defraud him of his assets.

In a recent interview on the DJ Ollah Podcast, Kawondera accused Mubaiwa and Ginimbi of orchestrating the loss of his stake in a gas business he helped fund during his footballing career. Kawondera claimed his signatures were forged and that Ginimbi had strategically removed him from the company without his knowledge, allegedly with Mubaiwa’s help.

“He faked my signatures and made himself director. Then he disappeared and went to powerful people. I couldn’t do anything,” said Kawondera.

Mubaiwa, categorically denied the accusations and urged Kawondera to take legal action if he believed he had a legitimate case.

She also rejected the claim that the pair co-owned a boutique in Eastlea.

As of now, Kawondera has not responded to Mubaiwa’s rebuttal, and no formal legal steps appear to have been taken.
