Prominent political commentator Cucsman has taken to Twitter to brush off criticism following his public apology and shift away from blind loyalty to opposition leader Nelson Chamisa.
In a tongue-in-cheek tweet, he wrote“As a retired toxician, I am not bothered about any form of insult from anyone, so bring it on”
The tweet comes just days after Cucsman issued a widely circulated apology to political analysts and activists such as Hopewell Chin’ono, Freeman Chari, and Pedzisai Ruhanya, admitting to previously being part of a toxic, uncritical support base.
His transformation has drawn both praise and scorn online, with some hailing his courage, while others accuse him of betrayal. Cucsman, however, appears unfazed by the backlash.
By referring to himself as a “retired toxician,” he acknowledges his own past behavior while signaling a new, more objective stance in Zimbabwe’s political discourse.
