Zimbabwean musician Jah Prayzah has expressed deep sorrow following the tragic deaths of two fans, Anotida Maziriri and Edmore Mafuwe, who died in a car accident while traveling to attend his concert in Edmonton, Canada.
The devastating incident occurred on 11 July 2025, as the two fans made their way to the latest stop on Jah Prayzah’s Ndini Mukudzeyi World Tour.
In a heartfelt post on Facebook dated 13 July, the artist shared his pain,“Ndarwadziwa zvikuru neshoko randafumira kugamuchira. I have learnt of the passing of two young fans of mine… To think they never made it to that moment hurts in a way I cannot explain.”
He went on to mourn with the families, promising to visit and offer condolences in person when he returns to Zimbabwe, “Ndirikurwadziwa nekuchema pamwechete nemhuri dzavo. May their souls rest in peace.”
The tragedy has left the diaspora community in mourning. Both families have launched GoFundMe campaigns to help repatriate the bodies of their loved ones to Zimbabwe for burial.
