Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga and wife have arrived at the National Heroes Acre for the burial of Dr Sydney Gata.
Gata, who was the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) Holdings Executive Chairperson, died on 3 July 2025 in Harare after a short illness. He was 79.
The burial will be presided by Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Also present at the National Heroes Acre is is Army Commander, Philip Valerio Sibanda, Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri, Christopher and Monica Mutsvangwa together with other senior government officials.
