Key elements of the case.
The defence submitted closing arguments. The affidavit was prepared by the new Advocate. The prosecution argued that the defence were introducing new facts in the case.
Of particular focus was the matter regarding the Zimbabwe fraud case, the Immigration case and the Sofa fraud case.
The defence focused more on the political aspects of the case, with the defence for the first case introducing the death of Nyoka’s wife and the fact that the Sofa case relates to a payment made less than seven days before the arrest.
