Dr Ian Ndlovu, leader of Divine Kingdom Baptist Ministries, has called on his congregation to raise US$8,000 to cover the cost of transferring the title deed of their church land before construction begins.
This appeal comes shortly after Dr Ndlovu received high-profile gifts from businessman Wicknell Chivayo, including a brand-new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser, a Toyota Fortuner for his wife, and US$150,000 in cash with the total value of the gifts reportedly amounting to around US$430,000.
The call for donations has sparked mixed reactions among church members and the public. While some loyal followers see the fundraising as part of their shared responsibility to the ministry’s future, others have quietly questioned why the ministry, or Dr Ndlovu personally, cannot cover the $8,000 cost given the recent windfall.
