1. South Africa to buy equity in te Grand Inga Hydroelectric dam. Negotiations to take place with Zimbabwe and Zambia. the project was given to the Vinese and the Spanish. South Africa plans to import 2500 MW of power from the project by 2030 and 5000 MW. A long transmission line passing through Angoloa, Namibia and Botswana will need to be constructred to power Gaauteng.
2. Harare businessman, Itai Samanyai is involved in a divorce from his wife, Grace Precious Mutongerwa-Samanyai. Samanyai says Grace has thrown him out of the house and forged his signature to see their Madokero house.

3. Eight out of ten prepaid cellphones sold in South AFrica are sold in Pep stores. Pep sold about 8 million handsets in the six months to end of March.

1. Tsaone Reboeleng, the sole survivor of the Botswana Phase 2 shootout in which 10 male suspects were shot dead in a shootout has been acquitted. The male suspects had robbed a CIT vehicle at the Gaborone main Mall which was servicing the bank of Baroda and belonged to Podder Investments. After the shootout, all the money that was stolen was recovered. The judge ruled that the investigation was half baked and failed to link the suspect to the robbery. One of the errors in the investigation was that the officers that arrived at the scene were not called. The police also failed to record the registration number of the gateway cars which were said to have been involved in the robbery. The robbery occurred on 23 February 2022.
2. Ramaphosa explains the reasons for his visit tp the USA. The Americans are no longer blue ticking the South Africans and engagements have started. Engagements will begin through the G20 process.
