Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Member of Parliament Happymore Chidziva was acquitted of rape charges on Tuesday.
Chidziva had been arrested in September last year, accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl who is reportedly a relative of his wife.
Harare magistrate Letwin Rwodzi ruled that the National Prosecuting Authority failed to present sufficient evidence to support the allegations, leading to the Glen View South MP’s acquittal.
