Prominent businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again made headlines with his lavish philanthropy and vocal Christian faith, after announcing the donation of a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz Maybach GL600 Facelift, valued at US$550,000, to Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi, leader of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC).

The gesture comes just weeks after an earlier donation a 2025 Range Rover Autobiography SV was damaged in an accident en route to the bishop.

The vehicle’s driver was reportedly involved in a crash at Featherstone, resulting in substantial damage to the luxury SUV.

Chivhayo, while expressing regret over the incident, used the moment to underscore his belief in divine purpose and resilience against spiritual opposition.

“When God has ordained it, the devil can’t stop it… Famba Zion,” Chivhayo posted on his social media, along with images of the new Maybach awaiting delivery.

Rather than be deterred by the mishap, Chivhayo says he was moved to act with even greater generosity.

“This incident, rather than discourage me, has ignited an even greater fire within me. Where others might see a setback, I see God’s invitation to bless even bigger, even better, and even bolder.”

Alongside the Maybach, Chivhayo also pledged an additional US$1 million donation toward the church’s charitable initiatives, to be handed over upon his return from vacation.

“Nothing in this world, not even the devil himself, can stop what God has purposed. I remain unshaken, undefeated, obedient to the voice of God,” he declared.
