A court ruling in the fatal accident involving musician Gift “Chillmaster” Hombarume has stirred discord within the family of deceased pedestrian Custon Charambira.
While some relatives accept the verdict, others are outraged by the lenient two-year fully suspended sentence and US$200 fine, arguing it does not match the gravity of the loss.
Charambira, who died on April 9, 2024, leaves behind a widow and two sons aged 12 and 16. Tensions have deepened over concerns about private financial compensation arrangements made outside the courtroom.
