In a moving display of compassion and community spirit, businessman and Member of Parliament Scott Sakupwanya has extended his heartfelt appreciation to his wife, Mai Sakupwanya, and the Scott Foundation for donating 300 blankets to elderly women across Mabvuku, Tafara, and Chizhanje this past Mother’s Day.
The donation, which comes as winter approaches, was described by Sakupwanya as more than just a gift ,it was a tribute to the enduring strength and grace of the mothers and grandmothers who have long formed the backbone of Zimbabwean families and communities.
“This simple yet powerful gesture is a reminder that the hands that raised us must never be forgotten,” said Sakupwanya.
“To all the mothers and grandmothers of Mabvuku-Tafara and Chizhanje, you are loved, you are valued, and you will never be forgotten.”
He praised Mai Sakupwanya for her compassion and recognized the Scott Foundation’s ongoing commitment to uplifting the most vulnerable members of society.
“As MP, I am humbled to stand beside a woman whose heart beats so strongly for the people,” he added.
