Socialite Maiguru Mai Jeremaya has spoken out after an alleged harrowing rape ordeal, stating her life is now at risk. This fear arises after learning in court that one of the accused men is reportedly linked to the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO).
In a trending video released after her court appearance, a visibly shaken Maiguru Mai Jeremaya explained her decision to speak publicly despite the ongoing case.
“I am deliberately telling you this because my life right now is in danger, possibly because it was confirmed today that one of the guys, Martin, is actually a CIO.”
The case gained significant attention on social media over the weekend when the socialite accused two men, Blessing Dube (27) and Martin Charlie (25), of sexual assault under the pretense of a business meeting.
Dube and Charlie appeared before magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa and were remanded in custody until Tuesday for a bail ruling.
