Zimbabwean businessman Dr. Daniel Shumba survives an assassination attempt in South Africa while currently hospitalized in Kampala, Uganda.
In a leaked audio recording to Matuke, Shumba states that he poses no threat to the ruling party and questions why Matuke would send his men after him.
He also conveyed that, having worked alongside Matuke and regarded him as a brother, he didn’t believe he would behave that way towards him.
” Matuke you are my brother we have come a long way from the time yekuMasvingo… Yes I have some views that are very different and I believe things can be done differently but I don’t think it is the reason to take one’s life,” he said.
