In a recent display of solidarity, former opposition leader Nelson Chamisa expressed his agreement with Botswana’s President Duma Boko regarding the importance of term limits in political leadership.

Through a tweet, Chamisa commended Boko’s statement that “no normal person will like to preside for more than ten years,” emphasizing that meaningful change should be achievable within a five-year term.

Chamisa wrote, “ON POINT…Well articulated. Well said. Thank you President @duma_boko,” highlighting his concurrence with the idea that extended leadership often hinders progress and democracy.
