Kudakwashe Tagwirei, a notable entrepreneur, has been proposed for co-option into the Zanu PF Central Committee, where he is expected to lead empowerment efforts that align with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 goal of transforming the country into an upper middle-income economy.

This news was shared by Godwills Masimirembwa, the provincial chairman of Harare.

In a recent discussion about the addition of new members to the party, Masimirembwa emphasized the importance of including successful business leaders like Tagwirei in the party’s framework.

“We are enthusiastic about having Cde Tagwirei spearhead our empowerment initiatives in accordance with Vision 2030,” he stated.

Tagwirei’s potential inclusion comes in light of the passing of Eleuterio Mahara, a previous Central Committee member from Harare.

Masimirembwa indicated that the Central Committee, responsible for introducing new members, recognized the vacancy created by Mahara’s death and deemed Tagwirei a suitable candidate to fill this role.
