Kuda David Mnangagwa and his wife are keeping the mother of a baby away from her daughter who was taken away from her in 2020 and has not seen her for 5 years.

Speaking to a member of the family, a family member said:
This is my story – I have made it as short as possible…
1. Almarie was in a relationship with David Kudakwashe Mnangagwa and a year after dating Harmony was born on 16th November 2019… their relationship developed problems and Almarie left and came home with baby in August 2020.
2. In September 2020 David visited one afternoon to see baby and was with his wife Rasheeda Traves. Within a few days David visited with his Uncle Larry Mavimba and a relative of his wife Rasheeda.
3. He offered Almarie money that evening to take baby Harmony’s with him immediately that evening if she agreed. She said no and he got angry and said he would take away from her the only thing she loves the most – this he did do.
4. Almarie got served with court papers a few days later. David’s lawyer (Advocate Chinyoka)claimed that Almarie was a drug addict.
5. In December of 2020 Harmony’s was taken away from her mother and her family in a very ugly way. Police arrived with a car load of men and a maid, David was not seen anywhere. The men were chanting all sorts. The policeman instructed us to hand baby over to the maid unknown to us – our lawyer then was present we called him to come, he said it was okay to hand the baby to unknown persons… Harmony was crying, we were all crying and we have never seen Harmony since that day. Her mother has no access.
6. The wife Rasheeda continued to attack my family throughout the case. Every Friday we got a document from the courts. A person from Southerton police station was used to deliver court papers for the vehicle David had given Almarie.
7. We had a truck load of people at our house one morning to collect the car – they broke down the electric gate and were wondering around inside our yard – I had to ask them to leave I was with Avondale police staff. They sat outside while I asked the Deputy Sherriff to remove the car – we never objected to giving the car back. The court papers gave an option to pay for it then in Rtgs or give it back. It was something like 1000rtgs …. so our new lawyer opted that we pay and within 3 hours all the court papers were changed and they came for the car.
8. Everytime Almarie found a job and David and Rasheeda found out – the company was paid a visit and Almarie would be asked to leave that very day.
9. Almarie is struggling without her child and suffers with depression now.
We miss Harmony everyday – her little cousins remember her very well. We celebrate her birthday every year and we missing always.
10. During the case – David was given the child in October and the mother had access granted by the Courts. They appealed immediately and the Magistrate was dealt with concerning granting us access.
