In a bold response to swirling rumors and misinformation, Zimbabwean billionaire Strive Masiyiwa has taken to social media to address allegations regarding his supposed involvement in political activities and financial solicitations.
In a detailed post, he categorically denied engaging in politics, asserting, “I DON’T do politics,” and emphasized that he has never solicited donations or support from anyone.
He stressed that those behind such fabrications often have ulterior motives, either seeking to manipulate public opinion or scam individuals out of their hard-earned money.
“I DON’T take money and will never ask you to buy something online,” he said.
He urged his audience to report any suspicious accounts, particularly those lacking the verified “Blue Tick” that denotes authenticity.
Masiyiwa concluded with a call for awareness, reminding his audience not to engage with fake news or misinformation: “Let’s keep it simple! Don’t give DeepFakes or fake news oxygen by entertaining it.”
