Apostle Talent Chiwenga, a well-known religious leader, has ignited a firestorm of debate with his recent comments regarding men who choose to marry non-virgins.

In a sermon that has since gone viral, Chiwenga asserted that such men are incapable of fulfilling traditional masculine roles, playfully suggesting they would be reduced to tears and might even advocate for animal rights instead of performing tasks like slaughtering animals.

The Apostle controversially likened these men to those who take pride in purchasing second-hand cars, furthering the frustration of many who believe his statements are both outdated and insensitive.

“… Why do you think you feel comfortable by buying these used cars, do you think it started with a used car …,” he said

Chiwenga’s remarks have provoked backlash from a variety of sources, including feminists and social activists, who argue that his views reinforce harmful gender stereotypes and stigmas around female sexuality.
