
In a bold and unfiltered letter addressed to prominent journalist and political activist Hopewell Chin’ono, Bridget Nyandoro has accused leaders of the Zimbabwean opposition of rampant corruption while defending her own integrity.
The letter, which has sparked widespread discussion on social media, takes direct aim at figures within the opposition, particularly focusing on the Chamisa family and their associates.
Nyandoro initiated the correspondence by expressing frustration over being the target of political rivalries.
She claims that her name has been brought up by “political enemies” who are threatened by her outspoken criticism. “I know why people in the so-called opposition hate me,” she writes, indicating her history of conflicts with the Chamisa family, specifically with Nelson Chamisa’s brother.
She points out alleged corrupt practices by known opposition figures, including Joana Mamombe and Denford Ngadziore, accusing them of benefiting personally through unethical land allocations and hiring practices within the Harare City Council.
Nyandoro’s letter suggests that the criticisms of the opposition are a facade, constructed to distract from their own misdeeds.
