In a recent statement, award-winning gospel musician Dorcas Moyo has addressed the uproar following her March 31st social media post, which included the phrase “Ranganai Zvichakona.”
The post ignited a wave of debates and political interpretations, leading to significant online scrutiny and bullying directed at the artist.
Moyo, well-known for her uplifting music and positive messages, opted for a diplomatic approach in her response.
“The constant online scrutiny affects me deeply, but I have consciously chosen peaceful resolution over public arguments,” she stated. “Social media battles only drain creative energy, better spent on meaningful work.”
Her commitment to avoiding confrontation amid adversity highlights Moyo’s focus on her creative endeavors.
This period of turmoil was notably softened by an unexpected gesture of support from businessman Wicknel Chivhayo, who presented Moyo with a brand new 2025 Toyota Fortuner along with a generous gift of $20,000.
