Zanu-pf PF spokesman Chris Mutsvangwa has penned a letter accusing Information Minister Jenfan Muswere of permitting state media outlets, specifically the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) and The Herald, to prematurely publish the results of the party’s Women’s League provincial elections held in Manicaland.
Mutsvangwa expressed concern that these reports were released before the party had officially ratified and announced the outcomes of the elections, raising questions about the integrity of the electoral process and adherence to party protocol.
Mutsvangwa’s letter highlights the importance of maintaining a unified party front and ensuring that all announcements come through official channels to prevent confusion among party members and the public.
He emphasized that the early release of the election results could undermine the legitimacy of the electoral process and erode trust within the party ranks.
