Prominent Zimbabwean journalist and activist Hopewell Chin’ono has spoken out against allegations that he is romantically involved with fellow Zimbabwean MamakaCleo.
In a fiery response, Chin’ono denied the claims, stating that he has never met MamakaCleo and that she is a fellow citizen fighting for change in their country.
Chin’ono’s response came after a series of attacks from Comfort Dondo , who he claims has been using Zimbabwean politics to fight a personal issue of rejection.
The activist revealed that the accuser had previously asked to meet him and had even visited his home in Harare, which is equipped with 32 cameras.
Chin’ono warned that he would release video evidence to prove the accuser’s motives if the baseless attacks continue.
In a surprising twist, Chin’ono alleged that Comfort had links to the ruling ZANU-PF party through spokesperson Mugwadi.
He vowed to report the individual to the Minneapolis Police Department and take legal action if the harassment persists.
MamakaCleo, the subject of the alleged romance, has also responded to the drama, stating that she will not entertain non-political issues and will only respond to topics related to Zimbabwean politics.
