The president has appointed major General Emmanuel Matutu as the new Lieutenant General and Commander of Zimbabwe National Army with immediate effect.
This comes after the retired of the former general Sanyatwe who is now the newly appointed Minister of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture.
He is to take up the Army General role immediately.
