Swaziland Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has been accused of misusing over R2 million in public funds to pay three Zimbabwean fugitives who he allegedly uses as his personal “State Intelligence spies”.

The fugitives, Elvis Mugari, Kudakwashe Muchero Male, and Simbarashe Muchero Male, have been granted diplomatic passports by the Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Princess Lindiwe, giving them ambassadorial status and access to sensitive government information.

The Zimbabweans, who are wanted for crimes in their home country, have been providing the Prime Minister with intelligence reports, including one that allegedly exposed a plot to remove him from power.

However, senior police officers have raised concerns about the credibility of the fugitives and the Prime Minister’s decision to use them as spies, despite their lack of intelligence training.
