Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume has been convicted and is to pay 300usdollars for lying to the Commission of inquiry hence breaching section 13 of commission of inquiry Act.
Mafume lied about his place of residence under oath which is an offence.
The sentence has however been suspended on the basis that he doesn’t repeat this for the next five years.
