Barnabas Marimbire, the manager of popular Zimbabwean comedian family,  The Nyathi Family, has spoken out.

Writing on Facebook,  Marimbire said:

Good evening, my beloved comrades and friends.

Yesterday, I was working in a remote area at the mine, and there was no stable network. I woke up early and started driving a long trip.

In the afternoon, a few people called me asking about events unfolding with my children.

This evening, I reached out, and we had a very long conversation.

When I started managing the Nyathi brand, my focus was and still on the business side and guidance, but I don’t interfere with their content as I am not an expert in that area, however I always advise them to uphold good ethics and moral.

So, in our conversation this evening, I asked my children what the issue was. They explained their side of the story.

Let me start by apologising to our beloved fans if there is anyone who feels provoked by the events that had just unfolded.

On the other hand, let me also explain my children’s position. There have been very nust comments for a very long time against Mai Nyathi and sometimes Gilbert and even myself as well.
We always discuss these issues, and we have agreed that we should never comment.

Unfortunately, I think today it had reached a boiling point, and they couldn’t hold it anymore, so they let it out.

Let me say this, each time people insult or pass nust comments to the couple, it hurts their feelings, and I am afraid that it may lead to depression. Unfortunately, it is taken for granted, but it’s a real issue.

Our couple is still young. Let’s support them in love, correct in love, and guide them in love. Especially people who followed them, I believe we followed their content out of love. Therefore, let’s keep building them the same way we start.

The bottom line is that we love you all. Those who started with us and those who worked with us. Let’s keep the love and correct one another in love.

Good night.
