Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has made headlines following his recent comments reaffirming President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s leadership.
Speaking on February 5, 2025, Chiwenga emphasized that Mnangagwa is the only leader elected by the entire nation, underscoring the President’s legitimacy and authority.
During a public address, Chiwenga stated, “Be reminded that President Mnangagwa is the only person elected by the whole country as a Constituency.
He is the only one elected by the entire country.” His remarks were intended to bolster support for Mnangagwa ahead of the upcoming elections and to remind constituents of the President’s national mandate.
