Zimbabwean politician and lawyer Fadzayi Mahere has sparked controversy after questioning the legitimacy of Dr. Timburwa’s claimed PhD.
In a tweet addressing the matter, Mahere inquired directly, “Do you have a PhD? If so, when and were did you acquire it?” She further challenged the use of the title “Dr.” without verification, emphasizing the need for transparency in leadership credentials.
The discourse began following allegations that Dr. Timburwa might have misrepresented his educational qualifications, raising concerns about academic integrity among public figures.
“if not, on what basis do you use the title Dr?” she added.
