
Fadzayi Mahere, a prominent Zimbabwean politician and member of the opposition, recently took to social media to reflect on the legacy of the late former President Robert Mugabe.
In her post, Mahere emphasized the complexity of Mugabe’s foreign policy and the ongoing challenges facing Zimbabwe’s current political landscape.
“One thing we can never take away from Robert Mugabe is that he had a clear and coherent foreign policy,” Mahere remarked. She acknowledged that while opinions on Mugabe’s tenure vary widely, his approach to international relations was marked by a distinct vision that many believe has been lacking in recent years.
Mahere criticized the current government’s handling of foreign affairs, stating, “The current lot are chaotically and incomprehensibly, poorly articulated stance on other countries makes it difficult to re-engage with the international community.”
