In a significant cultural event, King Misuzulu kaZwelithini is set to marry his third wife, Queen Nomzamo Myeni, in a traditional ceremony scheduled for January 24 at her family homestead in eJozini, KwaZulu-Natal.
The ceremony is known as umkhehlo and have the umgcagco on the 26th.
The upcoming marriage ceremony is expected to attract numerous dignitaries, family members, and community leaders such as King Mswati, reflecting the cultural importance of the occasion. King Misuzulu, who ascended to the throne in 2021.
This was confirmed by King Misuzulu’s spokesperson Prince Simphiwe Zulu, adding that the Kinga had started a relationship with the Myenis after paying lobola last year.
This comes amid King Misuzulu’s divorce proceedings with one of his other wives.
