South African actress and singer Winnie Khumalo has died at the age of 51.
She succumbed to short illness and died at homestead.
She became well known as Bongo Muffin and Brenda Fassie’s backup singer in the 90s.
She was able to pass her talent to her daughter Rethabile who is also a singer.
