In order to protect the lives and livelihood of people all fishing activity at Lake Chivero has been suspended.
Chivero has been deemed unsafe and poisonous as both wild and domesticated animals.
Zimpark released a press statement urging the public that all fishing activities have been suspended and that patrols have been put into place to ensure that no fishing is done .
Norton Legislator Richard Tsvangirai urged the government to fast track investigation and provide assistance to affected families .
He also stated that the matter should be solved swiftly as this has affected fishermen.
