Zimpark has released a press statement confirming the death of wildlife due to lake Chivero being contaminated.
Lake Chivero is known as being Harare’s main water source but due to pollution and waste the water is now poisonous.
The Zimpark has placed artificial drinking points to ensure that the animals do not consume water that has been contamination.
This temporary measure however is not enough as some animals do reach Lake Chivero and consume the water leading to death.
Chivero is being fueled by raw sewage which is even killing the fish from the dam.
