Minister of Local Government and Public Works honorable Eng Daniel Garwe confirmed that the government had approved for the private sector participation in developing, repairing, refurbishing as well as maintenance of country sports stadiums.
To ensure that Zimbabwe has a stadium that is approved by Fifa the government has approved the private sector to build a new Stadium at the New City in Mount Hampden Harare.
Minister Garwe said that the a new Stadium at Hampden will be a priority along side renovations of old stadiums.
He also highlighted that the National sport stadium standard approval by Confederation of Africa Federation was in its final stage of being completed.
