Secretary General of the opposition party(CCC) Sengezo Tshabangu has thanked President Mnangagwa and Vice President Chiwenga for showing their support while he was sick in Geneva.
Tshabangu had gone to Geneva to represent Zimbabwe, he felt ill and was admitted for intensive care for a week.
” This note saves to inform the nation and all concerns citizens of Zimbabwe about my gratitude to Zimbabwean leadership and the Parliament of Zimbabwe for taking care of me during the time of my unwellness, true friends are realized during times of hardships may God bless” he wrote.
Tshabangu shared that Vice President Chiwenga had called him and told him that the government was going to do all that is in its power to bring him home alive.
He also shared that after Chiwenga’s call he got another call from President Mnangagwa encouraging him ” all shall be well”.
This has however brought about mixed feelings amongst his supporters as some say they feel betrayed by this.
